Board of Directors Roles

The president is responsible for the association’s strategic direction and serves as the association’s primary decision-maker and spokesperson. The president manages the board of directors, facilitates collaboration across the organization, and engages with members at all levels to fuel association growth and development.

The secretary oversees membership engagement and communications, tracks committee projects, and facilitates association elections.

The treasurer is responsible for the association's financial management, accounting, strategic investments, and tax reporting. The treasurer collects membership dues and processes annual renewals.

The member at large who graduated from Arizona State University’s DBH program is responsible for board participation and overseeing one or more committees. This board member also serves as the association representative to Arizona State University’s DBH program and students.

The member at large who graduated from Freed-Hardeman University’s DBH program is responsible for board participation and overseeing one or more committees. This board member also serves as the association representative to the Freed-Hardeman DBH program and students.

The member at large who graduated from Cummings Graduate Institute for Behavioral Health Studies’ DBH program is responsible for board participation and overseeing one or more committees. This board member also serves as the association representative to the Cummings Graduate Institute for Behavioral Health Studies' DBH program and students.
